THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Congress high command decided not to remove senior leader K Sudhakaran from the post of KPCC president on an immediate basis. The Congress leadership believes that such a decision would falter if not taken Sudhakaran into confidence. In the last few days, there has been a difference of opinion in Congress regarding the change of leadership. The high command decision comes after Sudhakaran expressed his displeasure.

The high command also informed that the AICC leader in charge of Kerala, Deepa Dasmunshi, only held reorganisation talks. Senior Congress Leader K Muraleedharan also responded that there were no talks of leadership change in the meeting and busted rumours of Sudhakaran ailing from serious health problems.

In recent days, Sudhakaran stood adamant that he will not resign from the post of KPCC president until the next assembly elections. The senior leader also issued a threat that if removed from the post of KPCC president, the opposition leader be made to resign similarly. Sudhakaran also threatened to resign from the Lok Sabha. Senior leader Ramesh Chennithala came in support of the leader and beseeched the leadership not to move ahead with reorganisation plans. Sudhakaran and KC Venugopal are rumored to conduct a meeting today.
