THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) has increased the price of liquor in the state. The new price will come into effect from tomorrow. With the rise in the price of spirits, the new move is considering the demand of liquor distributors. The price will surge only for some brands of liquor. The price will increase from Rs 10 to Rs 50. BEVCO has released the revised price list. The price of 341 brands of 62 companies will increase.

There will be an increase of Rs 10 for government liquor Jawan. The liquor which costs Rs 640 will be priced Rs 650. The price of Old Port Rum has increased by Rs 30. The liquor sold at Rs 750 will now cost Rs 780. M H Brandy which was priced Rs 1040 will now be Rs 1050. Morpheus Brandy priced at Rs 1350 will now cost Rs 1400. Meantime, it has also been decided to reduce price. The price of 107 brands of 45 companies will be reduced. The decision to increase the price of liquor comes after 15 months in the state.
