ALAPPUZHA: CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam emphasized that the Left Front must prioritize the needs of fundamental groups, including farmers and workers. He was inaugurating the reception committee formation meeting for the CPI's 25th State Conference, scheduled to be held in Alappuzha in September.
"If the Left forgets its priorities, those who love us will be disheartened. Such despair could dim the light of the Left's progress in the southern corner of India. Strengthening this government for a third term is a historical mission. No matter how grand the seat of power is, positions hold little value for the CPI," Binoy Viswam said.
He explained that the funds for organizing the CPI conference are raised through contributions collected via donation boxes placed in the homes of party members. "If each box collects at least Rs 1,000, we can raise Rs 2 crore. This is not a quota. If the target is not met, no one will face penalties," he added.
The event was presided over by National Council member P Prasad.
