PALAKKAD: After 30 hours of gruelling search, Police received crucial information about Nenmara murder case suspect Chenthamara. The suspect's sim number became active showing the tower location at Thiruvambady in Kozhikode during the afternoon. He had worked as a security guard in a quarry in this region sometimes back. The phone turned off immediately after switching on. Investigation is being conducted in the area under the leadership of Thiruvambady CI.

The police are currently investigating the quarry. Turning on the phone sim can also end up as an attempt to divert the investigation. It is also reported that the accused was using several SIM cards. All phone numbers are being collected and an investigation is underway.

At the same time, the mortal remains of Sudhakaran and Lakshmi, the mom-son duo killed by Chenthamara were cremated today. Sudhakaran's body was cremated at Elavanchery Panchayat Crematorium and Lakshmi's body at Nenmara Panchayat Crematorium. Hundreds of people came to the house to pay their last respects.

The inquest report in the Nenmara murder case has been released. Chenthamara attacked with the intention of killing. Sudhakaran was cut on his hands, feet, neck and head. His right hand was severed. The cause of Sudhakaran's death was a wound on the back of the neck. Lakshmi received 12 cuts that included fatal wounds on her body. There was a cut extending from the eye area to the ear.
