PALAKKAD: The SHO has been suspended after a report came in that there was a lapse in the Nenmara double murder case. The suspension was made on the orders of the Northern Region IG. The action was taken because Nenmara SHO Mahendra Simhan failed to inform the court about Chenthamara violating the bail conditions. The report submitted by Palakkad SP Ajith Kumar to ADGP Manoj Abraham stated that Chenthamara had been living in Nenmara for a month. Meanwhile, despite reports that crucial information had been received, Chenthamara has not been caught yet. It was heard that he was in Kakkadampoyil last evening, but it is reported that he is still in Pothundi. The locals who saw him have started a search in the area.

Chenthamara had worked as a security guard at a quarry in Thiruvambadi. His phone went off immediately after it was turned on. A search is underway in the area under the leadership of the Thiruvambadi CI. It is reported that Chenthamara has not been found yet. The police are currently conducting an investigation focused on the quarry. There is a possibility that the phone was turned on to divert the investigation. It is also reported that the accused used several SIM cards. All the phone numbers are being collected and the investigation is underway.

The bodies of Sudhakaran (56) and his mother Lakshmi (78) of Pothundi Boyan Colony, Nemmara, Palakkad, who were killed in the attack by Chenthamara, were cremated. The bodies were kept at home for public viewing before being cremated. Sudhakaran's body was cremated at the Elavancherry Panchayat crematorium and Lakshmi's body was cremated at the Nenmara Panchayat crematorium.
