THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The school principal has been arrested in Thiruvananthapuram in connection with the POCSO case filed against school authorities for concealing the incident of a teacher abusing a student. A case was filed against the school principal for concealing the complaint against the teacher. The principal was subsequently arrested by the Fort police. Meanwhile, the police have registered another POCSO case against the teacher Arun Mohan, who is on remand in the case.

The girl had informed other teachers of the school last Monday about the abuse by the teacher. Following this, the school authorities took action against Arun Mohan but did not inform the police. However, a relative of the girl informed the police. The lapses of the school authorities came to light when the child's statement was recorded. The Fort police registered a case against the school following this.
