Basil Joseph is skittering away from his niche of film direction and is turning out to be the new acting sensation in M town. All of the director-turned-actor’s recent movies have tasted success, leaving producers and directors running behind him for dates. Basil now has his kitty full of movies and on Thursday, his much-awaited ‘Ponman’ was released. The movie directed by Jothish Shankar is an adaptation of a story based on revered novelist G R Indugopan. The movie stars Basil, Sajin Gopu, and Lijomol Jose in lead roles.

Unexpectedly, the movie is now getting talked about by many and it needs to be seen if the Basil movie has the might to outwit Mammootty’s ‘Dominic’ at the box office. Let’s get to the audience's response to the movie.
