NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will accomplish its dream of becoming a developed country by 2047. He also said the youth will be the beneficiaries of a developed country. The Prime Minister's response was ahead of the budget session. Ahead of the session, I bow to Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. I pray that Goddess Lakshmi blesses the poor and middle class of the country, the Prime Minister said.
It is a matter of pride that India has completed 75 years as a democratic country. The people of the country have given it a third chance. This is the first complete budget in it. It will be a budget that will give new energy and new faith. There are crucial bills in this session. The aim is to give strength to reforms. India will fulfill its dream of becoming a developed country by 2047. The youth will be the beneficiaries of a developed India in the future,' the Prime Minister added.
President Draupadi Murmu said the country is on the path of development. Everyone is given equal consideration, the President said while addressing the joint session of both the houses ahead of the budget session. 1.75 lakh health centers will be built to ensure health for all. In the event of the spread of cancer, duty on medicines will be waived. Order has been given for 1700 new aircrafts. The country's aviation sector is booming, the President said.
'The aim is to make India a global hub for new ideas. The 'India AI Mission' has been launched to advance in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The credit guarantee scheme introduced for the MSME and e-commerce sectors is a source of energy for industry in all sectors of the country. India is today a leading country in the world in digital technology. Even developed countries are impressed by our UPI technology. The government is also using technology to ensure social justice and equality,' the President said.
