THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The two-year-old girl’s murder in Balaramapuram continues to remain ambiguous. Just two days after the ghastly crime, the mother of the victim stated to the police about her relationship with her brother and accused Harikumar.

According to the victim’s mother Sreethu:

"Hari, an introvert, does not have many friends. I looked after him like my child and spent a lot of time with him. Even after I gave birth, I made sure that I treated him equally like my child."

Meanwhile, investigation and collection of evidence became challenging due to the non-cooperation of the accused in the case. The investigation is focused on scientific, forensic and cyber evidence. The investigation team was able to prove the Parassala Sharon case by collecting scientific and circumstantial evidence. The police are also looking into Hari's past history of crimes if any.

The investigation team did not fully believe the statements of the relatives. Hari and his sister Sreethu are known to be enigmatic. The WhatsApp chat between them is also suspicious. The police say that there is a mystery in the financial dealings of Sreethu and Harikumar. Sreethu had borrowed huge sums of money from relatives and locals for various reasons.

It was a common scene for creditors to create a ruckus in front of their houses while demanding back their money. After the death of Sreethu's father Udayakumar, she shaved her head and also made her daughter shave her head as part of an offering. Sreethu even told some of her relatives that she suffered from cancer.

The police investigation also found that Sreethu and Hari's family are superstitious. It is said that Sreetu and Harikumar were followers of astrologer Devidasan.
