Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra shared a distressing personal story about a misconduct from a director when she was 19 years old. She shared this experience during Forbes Power Women's Summit.
The actress said she asked the director to speak with her stylist, about the kinds of clothing that is required for the film. The director, standing next to the actress spoke to her stylist on the phone. Remembering his comments, Priyanka said, “He picks up the phone and goes, ‘Listen, people are going to come into the movies to watch her when she shows her panties. So it needs to be really short so that I can see her panties. You know those people sitting up front? They should be able to see her panties.’ And he said it like four times. And it’s not even pretty in Hindi. It’s worse."
After this, the actress reached home and narrated the incident to her mother Madhu Chopra. I dropped that film, and never worked with that director again.
