KOLKATA: Wife eloped with her lover with the money she got from selling her husband's kidney. The incident took place in Sankrail in Howrah district of West Bengal. The wife forced her husband to sell his kidney, saying that she wanted to save money for her daughter's education and marriage. After constant pressure from her wife, the husband agreed to sell the kidney. A patient who needed the kidney was found after a year of investigation. An agreement was reached to sell the kidney for Rs 10 lakh.

The man was hoping that the money he got from selling the kidney would solve the family's financial problems. However, his wife shattered his expectations and eloped with a man named Ravidas. The woman was in love with Ravidas, whom she met through Facebook. The woman eloped with the Rs 10 lakh she got from selling her husband's kidney. With his daughter, the man went to the house where his wife lived with her lover, but she replied that she would send a divorce notice. The man has filed a police complaint against his wife.
