THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The body of the elderly woman found dead in Kunnathukal will be exhumed today. This decision comes after her family raised suspicions about the cause of her death. The body of 70-year-old Seleenamma, who lived alone, was discovered eight days ago. The family has claimed that the jewellery she was wearing and other jewellery in the house were stolen.

According to the complaint filed by the relatives, there were injuries on the body. Following this, the police registered a case of unnatural death and sought permission from the District Collector to exhume the body and conduct a post-mortem. After receiving approval from the Tahsildar, the decision was made to exhume the body and conduct the post-mortem.
