THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No action has been taken even six months after the KPCC-appointed inquiry committee submitted its report on K. Muraleedharan's defeat in Thrissur in the last Lok Sabha elections. The 30-page report which has been submitted states that four important leaders in Thrissur committed lapses in election activities. The party has been criticized for discussing reorganization without revealing the report.

The report mentions former MLA Anil Akkara, former MP T.N. Prathapan, MP Vincent and former DCC president Jose Vallur. Jose Vallur was removed from the post of DCC president in connection with issues including a gang fight at the DCC office following the election. MP Vincent was also removed from the post of UDF district chairman.

However, none of these actions were based on the report submitted by the investigation committee. The report was prepared by an investigation committee comprising former minister K.C. Joseph, INTUC state president R. Chandrasekharan, and MLA T. Siddique.

The KPCC leadership appointed the investigation committee after Suresh Gopi won in Thrissur and K. Muraleedharan was relegated to third place. K. Muraleedharan was angry over the report not getting released even after more than six months of submitting it.
