THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a drastic incident, a young man died after getting strangled by a swing in the capital city on Tuesday. Mavukonam native Abhilash (27), alias Sindhu Kumar, died in the incident.

The family found the young man dead around 4 am today. Last night around 11 pm, the relatives saw him sitting on the swing and talking on the phone. Only the victim’s sister and her children were at the house during the incident. It is reported that Sindhu Kumar was drunk at the time of the incident. He was working as a cable TV operator.

Aruvikkara police registered a case in the incident. The preliminary investigation points to the death as an accident.
