BENGALURU: A Malayali student was found dead in her hostel room in Karnataka. The dead is Anamika (19), a second semester student of Dayananda Sagar College in Ramanagara, and a native of Muzhappilangad in Kannur.

Anamika was found hanging in her room by her classmates. They informed the college authorities and Harohalli police about the incident.

Anamika joined the college last year. The police and college authorities told media that her parents have been informed. Many nursing students have committed suicide in Karnataka in the past one year.
