THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The results for this year's Christmas-New Year bumper lottery have been announced. The ticket bearing the number XD 387132 has won the first prize of 20 crore rupees. The ticket sold in Kannur won the first prize. Aneesh NV is the agent. Agency No. C3789.

The draw for the third prize is currently underway.

Finance Minister K Balagopal drew the lottery at 2 PM at the Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. MLAs Antony Raju and V.K. Prashanth also participated in the ceremony.

Over 45 lakh tickets were sold, setting a new all-time record. A total of 50 lakh tickets were printed. Palakkad led the sales with 8.87 lakh tickets sold, while Thiruvananthapuram district ranked second. In addition to the 20 crore rupee first prize, twenty people won one crore each as the second prize.
