AMRITSAR: The US military plane transporting 104 illegal immigrants from the United States has arrived in Amritsar. They arrived in US military C-17 aircraft. Since most of them are from the states of Punjab and Haryana, the plane landed at the Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar. Although it was expected to arrive in the morning, the plane landed only in the afternoon. The route to the Aviation Club at the Amritsar International Airport has been sealed by the Amritsar Police with tight security.

The Indians arrived will be first be taken to the Aviation Club. They will be subjected to a detailed examination here. Immigration documents and criminal records will be subjected to a rigorous check. After that, they will be allowed to leave only if they are found to be in good health. Each person will be informed in their respective states.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav had the other day said that the state government will receive the Indian nationals coming and special counters have been set up at the airport for them. Punjab's Foreign Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal expressed disappointment over the return of such migrant Indians. He said that they should have been given permanent documents as they had contributed to the American economy.

After Trump took office as the US President, strong action was taken against the illegal immigrants in the country. They were caught, handcuffed and sent back to their respective countries in military vehicles.
