NEW DELHI: There was a bomb threat in four private schools in Uttar Pradesh. The bomb threat was via an email. Although nothing suspicious was found, students were evacuated from the buildings as a precautionary measure.
Noida Police, Fire Brigade and Bomb Squad teams visited Step by Step School, The Heritage School Noida, Gyanshree School and Mayur School this morning and conducted searches. Classes resumed in some schools after the inspection. The cyber teams have started investigating to find out the sender of the email message. School authorities have asked parents and students not to panic. Some schools sent the children back home in their buses.
Bomb threats were received recently through emails in many schools in Delhi. A class 12 student was taken into custody a month ago in this incident. Soon after this, a similar incident has happened in Noida now. It had earlier proved that students at Venkateshwar Global School had levelled a bomb threat against them in December2024. Police said the student did this with the intention of postponing the exams.
