NEW DELHI: Opinion polls have predicted that BJP will return to power in the national capital after a quarter century. The majority of opinion polls released after the voting period ended predict a clear dominance for the BJP. Five exit polls have predicted in favor of the BJP.
Delhi, which witnessed an Aam Aadmi Party wave in the last two elections, is predicted to reverse its fate this time. Meanwhile, the Congress will not make a comeback this time either. The Congress is predicted to win a maximum of three seats.
Various surveys predict that the BJP will get 35 to 60 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party may get 32 to 37 seats. AAP has been in power in Delhi since 2013. The Congress was in power in the national capital for 15 years before that. But the Congress could not even open its account in Delhi in the last two elections.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party has dismissed the exit poll results. The party's stance is that the reality of the Delhi elections is far from the survey results. Meanwhile, the BJP is confident that the survey results have predicted a clear advantage.
