There is no rain warning in any district for the next five days.

The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has informed that rough waves are likely to occur along the Kerala and Tamil Nadu coasts till 5.30 pm today due to the Kallakadal (swell surge) phenomenon. Fishermen and coastal residents are advised to be vigilant.

  1. As the sea is likely to become rougher, people should move away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.
  2. Launching small boats and yachts into the sea should be avoided during this time.
  3. Landing fishing vessels in the sea during the Kallakadal (swell surge) phenomenon and high waves is as dangerous as landing them ashore. Therefore, landing them in the sea and landing them ashore during the strong waves should be avoided.
  4. All activities, including tourism, centred on beaches should be monitored until the Marine Research Center withdraws the warning.
  5. Fishing vessels (boats, yachts, etc.) should be safely tied up in the harbour. Maintaining a safe distance between boats can avoid the risk of collision. The safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
