THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man has been arrested for sexually abusing his 11-year-old stepdaughter at Vellarada in Neyyattinkara. The arrested is a native of Pathanamthitta. He was arrested based on the complaint of Childline. The child first informed the school authorities about the matter.

Her statement was that her stepfather, a plumber, allegedly abused her when her mother was not at home. He recently started living at the child's house. She told the school authorities that he abused her several times when her mother went for work. The school authorities then informed childline about the incident. The accused will be produced in the Neyyattinkara court today.
