PRAYAGRAJ: President Droupadi Murmu will take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj today as part of the Maha Kumbh Mela. She will spend around eight hours in Prayagraj and visit temples such as Akshayavat and Bade Hanuman Temple.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will accompany the President during her visit. Extensive security arrangements have been put in place in Prayagraj and the Triveni Sangam area in connection with her visit.
India's first President, Dr Rajendra Prasad, had also taken a holy dip at the Kumbh Mela. Reports indicate that approximately 400 million devotees have participated in the sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam.
