KANNUR: Cobra snake in the judge's chamber in the family court. The snake was seen under the table in the chamber while the hearing was going on in the Kannur family court. The incident took place this afternoon. The judge was not in the chamber as the trial was going on in the court. The judge's office assistant who came to the chamber was the one who saw the cobra snake under the table.

The forest department was immediately informed. Forest department officials arrived and caught the cobra. Employees had earlier raised a complaint that the snake trouble was high in the Kannur court premises. It is alleged that the forests were not cleared when the old building was demolished and the construction work of the new building started, which caused the court premises to become habitable for the reptiles.
