BENGALURU: The assets of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK president J. Jayalalithaa have been handed over to the Tamil Nadu government. The handover followed a court order. The handover included two gold crowns and a gold sword. The proceedings began on Friday. A special court in Karnataka ordered the transfer of the assets to the Tamil Nadu government. These were seized in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The ornaments were kept in the Karnataka state treasury for about 21 years.
