THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The controversy over Shashi Tharoor MP's article praising Kerala's business-friendly environment continues unabated. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come out with a scathing criticism of opposition leader V.D. Satheesan on the issue. The Chief Minister pointed out that someone is openly saying that Kerala is not a business-friendly state. Pinarayi clarified that this is being said by a person with the rank of minister in the state, referring to opposition leader V.D. Satheesan.

"He is the leader of the opposition in the assembly, and not the opposition of Kerala. An opposition is present because there is a ruling party in the assembly. It is the opposition of the ruling party. However, they should not become the opposition of the State," the Chief Minister said. Pinarayi Vijayan also appealed that the hostility towards the LDF should not be directed at the State and the people.

"Compared to the last financial year, Kerala has made good progress in the industrial sector this financial year. It is difficult for some to say that this is an achievement of Kerala," the Chief Minister said.
