THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SSLC model exam is scheduled to start today, but the question paper printing has not been completed yet. Due to this, the question papers for the exams being held today and tomorrow have not been received by many schools yesterday. Officials say that they will be delivered from the district education offices by 11.30 this morning. The exam is after noon. Usually, question papers are delivered to schools a few days before the exam. The reason for the delay is the lag in printing.

The question papers are being printed at the Shoranur printing press. The printing of the question papers scheduled from Wednesday is still being printed. It is reported that they will be completed by this afternoon. The question papers delivered to the district offices will be distributed to schools from there.

Model exams are also being conducted with the same confidentiality as the public exam. This is followed, including in the printing process. The model exam ends on the 21st. The public exam is from March 3 to 26.

Meanwhile, the Exam Department informed that the question papers have been distributed in all the districts. Only the distribution of 20 percent of the question papers provided as spares for each subject is yet to be completed. It was also informed that the distribution of spare question papers for the exams to be held from Wednesday will be completed by this evening.

The Kerala Pradesh School Teachers' Association (KPSTA) said that the government's lack of seriousness towards public examinations is evident from the fact that the question papers were not delivered to many schools as the SSLC model examination was about to begin today.
