NEW DELHI: A strong tremor has jolted the national capital. An earthquake 4.0 magnitude on the Richter scale was felt strongly in Delhi and its adjoining areas. The quake struck at 5:36 am. The epicenter was New Delhi. The quake struck at a focal path of five kilometers.
Many woke up from their sleep alarmingly. They asked on social media if they were the only ones who felt this. People came out of their homes in droves. People in New Delhi railway station, the scene of a stampede the other day, reported that they felt the tremors of a train passing by. The National Center for Seismology has confirmed that an earthquake has occurred. There are no reports of any damage. The earthquake was also felt in Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad near Delhi. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that he is praying for everyone's safety.
