ALAPPUZHA: A complaint reached the police that a homemaker was tied up and robbed of money and gold in Alappuzha. The incident happened in Mampuzhakkary in Alappuzha. According to homemaker Krishnamma (62), she was tied up inside the house while robbers took away 3.5 sovereigns of gold, ATM cards, Rs 36,000 and even basic utensils such as plates.

After the incident, Krishnamma’s maid, a woman from Thiruvananthapuram, is missing. Krishnamma is dubious of the maid's role in the whole shocking incident.

“At night the kitchen door was opened and three people came in. They tied me up and then rummaged the cupboard and took whatever they could. This includes a small earring, necklace, and locket of gold.

One from the gang slapped me and I got knocked out. I still can’t fathom that my maid was part of the team. Her bag and footwear are missing.” Said Krishnamma.
