THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 15th Sivagiri Pilgrimage meet was held at the Ajman Indian Association Hall under the leadership of SNDP Yogam UAE Sevanam which includes eight SNDP Yogam unions and 90 branches in the UAE.

Similar to the Sivagiri pilgrimage, various religious ceremonies, padayatras, conferences, lectures on various pilgrimage goals, food distribution and various cultural programs were held. More than 3000 people from various emirates of the UAE participated.

The cultural event held in conjunction with the pilgrimage was inaugurated by Bijender Singh, Head of Chancery and Consul, Consulate General of India, Dubai. Prasad Sreedharan, Vice Chairman and Acting Secretary, SNDP Yogam UAE, presided over the event.

Siva Swaroopananda delivered the blessing speech and Yoga Councilor PT Manmathan delivered the keynote address. SNDP Yogam UAE Coordinator Adv. Sinil Mundappally, Central Committee Finance Convener JRC Babu, Youth Movement UAE Convener Sajan Sathya, Women's Section Convener Jayashree Animon, Sivagiri Pilgrimage Sangamam General Convener Shine K. Das, Central Committee Joint Secretary Suresh Thirukulam and others participated.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Gurudev Kriti recitation competition held in connection with the Pilgrimage Sangamam. The Pilgrimage Sangamam concluded with Sarva Aishwarya Puja and Mangalarathi in the evening and the flag was hoisted.
