ROME: The condition of Pope Francis (88) is in a stable condition, said Vatican spokesman. His blood results showed a slight improvement. The Pope was diagnosed with pneumonia and a complicated bronchial infection.

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni visited him in the hospital. Giorgia Meloni said she had spoken to the Pope and wished him a speedy recovery. The Pope was able to stand up and eat on his own.

The Pope was admitted to a hospital in Rome after suffering from respiratory tract infection and bronchitis. He had developed pneumonia in both of his lungs.
