KOCHI: The police have registered a cheating case against actor Bala on the complaint of his former wife Amrutha Suresh. The case has now been registered for forging court documents related to divorce. The police had earlier arrested Bala for defaming her on social media.

The case is based on the complaint filed at Ernakulam Central Station in connection with the forgery shown in the court documents. The complaint said the fifth page of the divorce agreement submitted in the court was forged. This page contains matters related to their child. The complaint said Amrutha's signature was forged. Amrutha Suresh said Bala distorted the insurance policy for her daughter.

'Some documents had been submitted to the high court from their side regarding the cancellation of a previous case. A notice had come from the high court in this regard. The documents submitted to the court included documents related to our marriage. When it was examined, one full page contained other things. My signature was also forged in it.

There is an insurance policy given to my daughter. The agreement is that the money should be withdrawn only after she turns an adult. When called the bank regarding the insurance, came to know that the insurance had been surrendered and that the money had been withdrawn completely. It was a small amount of money that my daughter gets after she turns an adult. It is a sad thing to say that was also taken,' said the singer.
