KOZHIKODE: A case has been registered against an 18-year-old student on the complaint of selling pictures of classmates and teachers on Telegram. The case was registered against Adithya Dev (18) of Thikkodi.

Adithya Dev had been capturing pictures of classmates and teachers from classrooms and other places without their knowledge. He then put the pictures for sale for Rs 39 on Telegram channel. The students who noticed the incident informed the management about the matter and they immediately informed the police.

The management said that a complaint was filed at the Kozhikode Cyber Police Station and Kasaba Police Station as soon as the incident came to light. The student has also been suspended.
