THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V N Vasavan said Vava Suresh has fans even in the White House. He said that when Vava Suresh was bitten by a snake earlier, he had received hundreds of phone calls and one of them was from the White House.

'When you take people from Kerala who have fans in the world, Vava Suresh stands in the forefront. I am not lying. When Vava Suresh was first admitted to a private hospital after bitten by the snake, I went to the hospital and made all the arrangements to shift him to the medical college. I was able to participate in his life-saving mission in a humble way.

I got hundreds of phone calls when he was admitted in the hospital. One of them, was a call from the White House in America. The one who called from the White House spoke to me for eight minutes. I first thought that it was a prank call. Later understood that he was a fan of Suresh. He said that he has been watching Vava Suresh’s programme ‘Snake Master’ for a long time.

Vava Suresh is risking his life to save the lives of so many. He does not use any of the money he gets from catching snakes for his own needs. He uses it all to educate poor students in his neighborhood,’ the minister said.
