PATNA: A Class 10 student was shot dead following a dispute over malpractice during an exam. The incident took place yesterday afternoon in Rohtas, Bihar, during a conflict between students. Two other students sustained injuries—one was shot in the leg and the other in the back. They are currently undergoing treatment at Narayan Medical College Hospital. Security has been tightened at the hospital due to the tense situation.

Meanwhile, the deceased student's family and villagers staged a protest by blocking the road and burning tyres in the middle of the street. They declared that they would continue their protest until justice was served. The police arrived to control the situation and later handed over the student's body to the family. Class 10 board exams began in Bihar on February 17 and are set to conclude on February 25.
