KOLLAM: A telephone post was found placed across the railway track at Kundara in Kollam. The incident came to the notice of authorities at 2 am. Later, Ezhukone police reached the spot and moved the post away. Police and Punalur Railway authorities are investigating the incident.

The post which was lying near the roadside for years was seen across the railway tracks this morning. It was a passenger who first spotted this and informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot cleared the post and returned. Shockingly, news reached the officials again about the post found placed again across the track.

It is indicated that more than one person is involved in the incident. This has also evoked doubts of a train derail attempt.

“The post was lying on the roadside for years. Not even three people could lift it easily. More people are involved in the incident. We have seen few suspicious people from other states in these areas recently.’ said a local.
