HYDERABAD: The six-year-old boy who was trapped in an apartment elevator shaft died tragically. The incident took place in Masab Tank in Shanti Nagar area of ​​Hyderabad. Niloufer Hospital authorities said that the child, who was undergoing treatment, died on Saturday morning. The child got stuck in the elevator shaft on Friday evening. He got trapped between the wall and the lift between the first and second floors.

The residents of the apartment immediately informed the fire brigade. The fire brigade and the DRF team pulled the child out. "When we arrived, the child's family members were near the lift. Police, DRF and ambulance immediately reached the spot," said a fire brigade official.

The child, who suffered serious injuries to his stomach and back, was immediately admitted to Niloufer Hospital. He was then rushed for emergency surgery, but his life could not be saved. A few days ago, in a similar incident, a person was trapped in a lift in a hotel building in Warangal. However, his life was saved due to timely rescue efforts.
