PALAKKAD: A one-year-old baby died in a collision between a bus and a car in Thrithala. The accident occurred around 7 am Sunday. The dead is Aisin. Eight people sustained injuries in the accident. It is not clear whether any of the injured are in a serious condition.

The car was carrying natives of Pattambi and proceeding towards Karipur Airport. The baby was in the car and it has been completely destroyed in the accident. It collided head-on with a bus. The cause of the accident is not clear and it is suspected that the driver may have dozed off. The police and the motor vehicles department have started an investigation into the accident.
