THRISSUR: The class 10 student who attempted suicide in Kunnamkulam died. Zoya (15), the daughter of Soman and Geetha, natives of Eyyal, died while undergoing treatment. The girl was found hanging in the bedroom of the house at around 5 pm yesterday. Only Zoya's mother was at home at that time.

As soon as Geetha saw the incident, she and the locals rushed the girl to the Kunnamkulam hospital in an ambulance. Zoya died at around 5 am today while undergoing treatment. Zoya is a class 10 student of Erumapetty Government Higher Secondary School. The cause of death is unclear. The Erumapetty police have registered a case of unnatural death in the incident. Kashinath and Sona are Zoya's siblings.

Three children have committed suicide in Thrissur in the last two days. A class 7 student committed suicide in Kandassankadavu yesterday. It is reported that she committed suicide due to mental distress after her parents decided to change schools. A sixth-grade student, Avantika, was also found dead in her room in Iravathur following a family dispute.
