ROME: There was a bomb threat on an American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi. The incident happened on Sunday night. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which was flying to Delhi with 199 passengers on board, was flying over the Caspian Sea when the crew received a bomb threat.
The plane then made an emergency landing at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome, Italy. The plane landed with an escort of Italian fighter jets. On examination, the bomb threat was later found to be fake. The flight will depart today after the inspections.

The bomb threat was received via email. The officials said the crew was given rest after landing and that the flight will leave on Monday.
