KOTTAYAM: There is a move to arrest BJP leader P C George for his hate speech during a channel debate. The police are planning to arrest him from his house. Meanwhile, BJP workers have come forward protesting. BJP leaders said that P C George will appear and will go to the station as a protest. However, the police have informed that there is no permission for the protest.

The Erattupetta police registered a case against P C George under the non-bailable section based on a complaint filed by the Youth League. The Kottayam additional sessions court and the high court had rejected PC's anticipatory bail plea. The high court rejected his bail plea after strict observations.

The plea was rejected on the grounds that P C George, who is easily provoked despite being an MLA for 30 years, has no right to continue as a politician. The court also observed that a political leader should be a role model for the society.

P C George told court that it was a mistake from his side. However, the high court said P C George is constantly making mistakes, a procession of mistakes. A similar case was registered against P C George in Thiruvananthapuram earlier. The high court pointed that repeating the crime after being released on bail as a serious issue.

George said that his speech was during a television debate. Although George said that he apologized the next moment, the court did not take it at face value. The court said that this is not a justification for continuously violating the orders given by the high court and the magistrate courts.
