ABU DHABI: The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather warning for UAE residents, including expatriates. The weather department has predicted a drop in temperatures today, with a possibility of rainfall.
Northern, eastern, and coastal areas will experience cloudy conditions. The weather is expected to become humid by night. There is also a possibility of fog formation in some areas tomorrow. A yellow alert has been issued due to expected rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf. The alert was issued considering the possibility of waves reaching up to seven feet high and wind speeds of up to 40 km/h. The warning remains in effect from 6:00 AM today until 6:00 AM tomorrow. Residents are advised to exercise caution when stepping outdoors.
Earlier, the forecast mentioned light to moderate winds from the southeast, which will shift to the northwest, gaining speed over the sea. Wind speeds are expected to range from 10 km/h to 25 km/h, later increasing up to 40 km/h. By night, the Sea of Oman is also likely to become turbulent.
Weather variations are expected in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 33°C, while the minimum temperature could drop to 19°C in Abu Dhabi and 20°C in Dubai.
