PALAKKAD: In a tragic incident, a woman was killed after her scooter collided with a lorry in Palakkad. The deceased has been identified as Pulappatta native Deepa Mathew (38). The accident took place on the Palakkad-Kozhikode national highway today morning.

Deepa is a lab employee in a private hospital in Palakkad. She met with the accident while going to work in the morning. Although she was rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved. The body is currently kept at the Palakkad district hospital mortuary. Deepa is survived by her husband Binoy and children Elsa and Angel.
