N R Sudharmadas, chief photographer of Kerala Kaumudi, Kochi Unit, has won State Women's Commission media awards for 2024 in the photography category. The award was for the picture ‘kuttikalkkoppam’ published on September 11, 2024. Sudharmadas photographed 74-year-old Thankamma, who took leave from her guaranteed wage employment job to pursue her university degree with enthusiasm.
