THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The wait got longer and her parents started getting concerned. All of their worst fears turned true as death news reached them late into the night.

PG student Farzana, daughter of Sunil-Sheeja couple of Venjarammoodu Mookkannoor was at home till 3.30 pm on Monday. She later left home on the pretext of attending tuition classes. Meanwhile, Afaan, her beau was waiting on the road with his motorcycle. He took Farzana to his house and later killed her brutally with a sharp weapon.

According to reports, Farzana was stabbed in her face with the weapon. Her face was beyond recognition and in distorted state.

Farzana’s family had no idea of her relationship with Afaan. The family were least bothered about the case when it initially appeared on television. However, soon doubts started surfacing. Two days back, one of Afaan’s relatives saw him travelling in a bullet bike with Farzana.

Farzana’s father Sunil is a welding worker. Afaan in his confession to police said that he loved Farzana and that she couldn’t think about living without him. Afaan said he killed Farzana so as not to further push her into mental agony.
