Prithviraj's character introduction in Empuraan has been revealed. In the film, which he also directs, Prithviraj portrays Zayed Masood. The makers previously announced their plan to introduce 36 characters over 18 days. Now, only Mohanlal's character introduction is left. In the intro video, Prithviraj hints that Zayed Masood has a significant past.

Prithviraj’s words:
"In Lucifer, you were introduced to Zayed Masood as a mercenary commando leading the hit squad of the notorious Khureshi-Ab'raam nexus, which controls the global gold and diamond trade. That was the only way Zayed Masood was presented in that film. However, like every other character in this franchise, and like every character written by Murali Gopy, Zayed too has a past.

He has a story. He had a world of his own. Through Empuraan, you will understand what that story is, what his past was, and how Khureshi-Ab'raam came into that world.

By the end of the first part of Lucifer, we get the impression that no power in the world is capable of opposing or taking on the underworld mega-syndicate led by Khureshi-Ab'raam. But was that perception correct, or was it a misplaced assumption? Empuraan will uncover the truth."
