WASHINGTON: Tesla Group founder Elon Musk has suggested a new method to prevent corruption. Elon Musk had suggested that the US Congress members should be given a pay increase. After Donald Trump took office as President of the United States, Elon Musk was given vital responsibilities at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Elon Musk has also responded to the new proposal through X.

‘This move will help reduce corruption among senior government officials and members of the US Congress. Otherwise, it will be 1000 times more expensive for the public,’ he wrote in the post. Republican and Democratic lawmakers are concerned about such a pay increase. However, officials said the new decision will benefit those economically disadvantaged.

Musk said during Trump's first cabinet meeting on Wednesday that he had received death threats over DOGE's actions. Elon Musk also sent an email to federal employees asking them to explain what they had done in the past week. This was followed by mass resignations of employees in the United States.

Musk also admitted that there had been some mistakes in DOGE's spending cuts. An example of this was the suspension of funding for Ebola prevention. He said that he resumed funding for Ebola prevention when he realized that funding was needed. Speaking after Elon Musk, Trump asked if anyone was unhappy with his actions.
