THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian said the government will appoint an expert committee to revise the State Television Awards rules. He said that web series, telefilms and documentaries broadcast on OTT platforms, YouTube etc. will also be considered from next year. He was inaugurating the distribution of the State Television Awards for 2022 and 2023.
At a function held at Tagore Theatre, Kerala Kaumudi Associate Editor V.S. Rajesh received the award for the best interviewer of 2022 from Minister Saji Cherian. Former Deputy Director of Doordarshan Baiju Chandran received the Television Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022. Prof. Aliyar received the award for the best commentator.
Antony Raju MLA presided over the function. AA Rahim MP, Chief Secretary Saradha Muraleedharan, District Panchayat President D Suresh Kumar, Director Kamal, KSFDC Chairman Shaji N Karun, Film Academy Chairman Prem Kumar, Cultural Workers Welfare Fund Board Chairman Madhu Pal, Cultural Department Director Dr. Divya S. Iyer, General Council Member Kukku Parameswaran and others participated.
