KOZHIKODE: A 15-year-old boy, who was undergoing treatment after being injured in a clash between students in Thamarassery, has passed away. The deceased is Muhammad Shahbaz, son of Chungam native Iqbal. He breathed his last at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital around 1 AM.

Shahbaz was admitted to the hospital after suffering internal bleeding in the head. His tragic death occurred just days before he was set to appear for his SSLC examinations. He was a Class 10 student at MJ Higher Secondary School, Vattoli. Shahbaz suffered the injury in a clash between students of two schools over an incident at a private tuition center.

On Thursday night, Shahbaz began experiencing vomiting and other health issues, following which he was initially taken to Thamarassery Taluk Hospital and later shifted to Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
