THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi said that no one should belittle the protest of Asha workers. His response was after visiting the protest camp of Asha workers in front of the Secretariat. Suresh Gopi said that the demands of Asha workers will be conveyed to the central government. Suresh Gopi responded that they need not belittle the cooperative system of any politics.

'Many political systems have done harm to the people. All that will be dug up. If there is a situation of insecurity for Asha workers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Health Minister will be informed. If this is a project of the centre, there will be certain criteria established when it is conceived. The prime minister can be asked to review those criteria.

The decision should be taken by the Prime Minister and his cabinet. "This is not a strike declaration. I am not part of the strike. I came to see the people who are protesting. I have listened to them and will take their problems to the right place. If the state government takes action to dismiss the protesting ASHA workers, the central funds will be stopped," Suresh Gopi said.
