AMBALA: Shooting inside district court in Haryana. A two-member gang entered the courtroom and opened fire. The attackers are said to have targeted an accused in a case. The gang arrived in a black SUV and fled after firing. The police, who arrived on the information, have started an investigation.

Two bullets were recovered from the scene. The police are examining the CCTV footage inside the court building. Ambala City SHO Sunil Vats and DSP Rajat Gulia are leading the investigation. The SHO told the media that the attack targeted Aman Sonkar, an accused in a case. Aman Sonkar was brought to the court to record a witness in a case. As soon as he reached the gate, people in an SUV opened fire on him.

There are also allegations that this incident is a sign of a serious security lapse in the court premises. Ambala Bar Association Secretary Ripanjit Singh reacted to this. "This is the first such incident in the court complex. More security will be implemented from now on. If a person is not safe inside the court, then there is no need to talk about the situation outside. This has created fear among lawyers as well," he said.
